                                Dominican Sisters

Dominican Sisters comprise the Third Order Conventual.  Like the friars, sisters can be either married or celibate.  Traditionally, there has always been a distinction between sisters and nuns among Dominicans.  Sisters have been involved in the active apostolate of the Order and the nuns have been cloistered and they were active in the apostolate of preaching by their very lives.

Today, sisters of the Anglican Dominican Order actively participate in the preaching apostolate by teaching, leading retreats and special events, chaplaincy and other creative programs that are available to them.
